Privacy policy
The short version
- We keep only what the site needs: your mobile number, your email if you give it, and the kundlis and matches you make while signed in.
- We record how the site is used, to improve it. No ads, and we never sell your data.
- You can delete everything yourself at any time, from your account.
1. What we keep, why, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your mobile number, your email if you give one, and your consent | Your account and sign-in, and to contact you about your kundli and reports | Until you delete your account |
| If you sign in with Google: your Google account's email address and ID | To sign you in | Until you delete your account |
| The kundlis and Kundli Milan matches you make while signed in, with their birth details and any optional “about you” answers | So you can open them again | Until you delete them or your account |
| Purchases | To give you access, and for our accounts | As long as Indian tax law requires |
| How you use the site, your device and network, and your approximate location from your IP address | To fix and improve the site | 180 days |
| Sign-in and usage counts | To prevent misuse | 30 days at most |
2. What we don't keep
- Birth details you enter before signing in: they are used only to calculate.
- Your PDFs: each one is made when you download it and erased within minutes.
- Your questions to Jyotish Sahayak and its answers.
- What you type into forms, other than what you send us on purpose.
3. Who helps us run the site
A few trusted service providers, only to run the site: hosting in India, sending sign-in codes, taking payments (your card, UPI or bank details go to the payment provider, never to us) and writing Jyotish Sahayak's answers. Each gets only what its job needs. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google confirms who you are.
We don't sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising. We disclose it only when Indian law requires.
4. In your browser
One sign-in cookie, which lasts up to a year, your language and light or dark choice, and a random ID that links your visits. No advertising cookies.
5. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask what data we hold about you and who we shared it with;
- correct it, or have it erased;
- withdraw your consent, by deleting your account (this doesn't undo what was done before);
- nominate someone to use these rights for you if you cannot;
- complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to us.
6. Children
Accounts are for adults (18 and over). A parent or guardian may make a kundli for their child; by entering a child's birth details, you confirm you are their parent or guardian.
7. Security
Your data is stored in India and travels encrypted. No system is perfectly safe: if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board, as the law requires.
8. Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Questions? Write to us.
